The Boss Lady herself is Mrs. Deirdre Luster, CEO & Creative Director. As a Certified Wedding and Event Planner with years of planning weddings, celebrations, and corporate events under her belt, Deirdre founded Divine Elegance by Deirdre. She is a New York native who began her professional endeavors in the medical field for decades. In the midst of her pursuit of a nursing degree and positions in prestigious institutions such as Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Deirdre realized her passion for helping others and bringing a smile to their faces. Her astounding bedside-manner and patient care translated into unmatched customer service and attention to detail. She transitioned to planning and designing parties for family and friends, which ultimately created a network of colleagues and finally corporate executive contacts.
As CEO, Creative Director, and lead planner, Deirdre relies on over 20 years of experience working with each couple individually from vision to implementation on order to deliver a signature ambiance. Deirdre has a servant's heart which extends beyond the business. As the Vendor Director and Programs Coordinator of the non-profit organization Weddings For Heroes, Deirdre used her vision, creativity, and network of vendors to give amazing military couples the wedding of their dreams. Deirdre extends herself even into the next generation by presenting and hosting interns from colleges and universities throughout the state. Her students are always captivated by her creativity and determination and eager to extend their experience beyond their term. She imparts in them the keys to obtaining affluent clientele, the importance of close attention to detail, and the reality that they can achieve their goals with vision and dedication.
When Deirdre is not planning weddings and orchestrating events, she can be found in the kitchen cooking and catering or caring for the elderly in Nursing Homes. Her compassion is endless, and her dedication to helping others is apparent as she continues to build a legacy.
